hsbaby
Any suggestions for an upcoming fourth grader on basic geography....like latitude, longitude, equator, etc. He loves workbooks and catches on very quickly. Hunter
Continent blobs and then simplified map drawing using Draw Write Now 7 and 8, and Beginners World Atlas. Rod and Staff grade 4 Homelands Around the World. I just use this as a read aloud, but if he like workbooks he might like to do the lessons. My preference though is to just concentrate on map drawing skills instead though.

Mrs Twain
My son LOVES The Complete Book of Maps and Geography. :iagree: This is a great workbook. This is the best geography resource that we have bought so far. It is over 300 pages, color, and costs about $10 on Amazon.
SunnyDays
We just purchased this one and it looks good: http://www.christianbook.com/discovering-the-world-geography-grades-to/myrl-shireman/9781580372275/pd/72272 I think we're going to use it next year. I do also like the Complete Book of Maps & Geography mentioned above.

melissel
Evan-Moor's Daily Geography 4. :001_smile: This is what we're using, and I like it. It's a bit dry, but it's very easily implemented, it's easily done independently once you teach the lesson, it's still fairly engaging, and DD9 is retaining plenty (I've learned a lot too ). We'll probably go on to the next level next year.

Penguin
:iagree: Seconding the Maps, Charts and Graphs series. We are fans. For what it's worth, Seton puts Level D into its 4th grade curriculum. Edited April 21, 2012 by Penguin clarity
