Rod and Staff grade 4 Homelands Around the World. I just use this as a read aloud, but if he like workbooks he might like to do the lessons. It's a bit dry, but it's very easily implemented, it's easily done independently once you teach the lesson, it's still fairly engaging, and DD9 is retaining plenty (I've learned a lot too :blush:).
