Pegasus
As a follow-up to my shopping mistake (buying whole coffee beans rather than pre-ground), I've been convinced to buy a grinder. What kind do you have and do you like it? Is it easy to use, easy to clean? Is the coarseness of the grind adjustable? Electric or hand? I looked at Walmart and the least expensive one they have on the shelf is a Hamilton Beach electric for $15 but it doesn't look like it has very good reviews. I looked at Amazon and they have lots of choices, including hand grinders. I'd rather keep it less expensive because we aren't big coffee drinkers. I usually make a small pot on weekend mornings and when we have company. Thanks, Pegasus
Denise in Florida
I have a little counter top electric grinder. It grinds just enough for one pot of coffee at a time. I really love it. I prefer fresh ground coffee.

Shellers
I don't drink coffee, but my husband does. He uses a Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central coffee maker with Eight O'Clock Coffee (Colombian Whole Bean), and grinds it with this Krups grinder. He claims it's the best combination ever. He really loves the Eight O'Clock Coffee, and it's fairly cheap.
In the Rain
Do they make quiet grinders? I'd look for that. We have an electric that makes a hideous sound. I just can't take it in the morning- especially before I've had my coffee. I started buying preground coffee just to avoid the sound. :glare:
SailorMom
We bought a cheapy little $10 non-name one from Wal Mart - we've had it for about 4 years with no issues :)

DawnM
http://coffeetea.about.com/od/grinding/a/bladeburr.htm Something you might want to read before buying a grinder. I have a Starbucks Barista Burr grinder I bought about 15 years ago. I would love one of these: http://www.wholelattelove.com/searchresults.cfm
