Aelwydd
An Orthodox classical school. Uh huh, that's right. :D In Fort Worth, Texas. I visited this parish once over 10 years ago, when I was contemplating going Orthodox. This parish was an Anglican one that went Antiochian. I'm pleased to see they've built such an amazing school. Too bad it's too far away and too much $$ for me, but I hope they keep reproducing the concept.

milovany
Thanks for sharing! Loved clicking around there. Zowie on the fees, but it looks wonderful. I hope to also see some Orthodox schools using the Ages of Grace curriculum in the years to come. It's more Charlotte Mason than Classical but the author is integrating history, faith, geography, literature, writing, poetry, art, music, etc. with Orthodoxy. :001_smile: Edited February 15, 2012 by milovaný

I wish we had a better private school option. :001_smile:
Aelwydd
I looked in to something like this, but way to much money!!!! It is a nice concept though. I know, right? If we had the money, we'd seriously consider it. Right now, an RCC school we've been considering is stretching at $5700.

happygrrl
And there WAS one in Oregon; not sure if it is still around. Yes, Hagia Sophia Academy in Beaverton (connected with St. John the Baptist parish). It is no where near us, but apparently not too far for dh to play in their fund-raising golf tournament every year! :D
Avila
One of my dd's ballet friends goes to this school, and her mom is the acting secretary there. :001_smile: We could not afford it, but I hear it is awesome.
