amyinva
My almost 12yo DD loves sharks. She has practically memorized every Usborne book having to do with sharks, and draws and writes about them in her free time. She loves all kinds, and likes to guess what kind when she sees them in books, movies, etc. She watches Shark Week episodes a lot on netflix. Any Christmas ideas? More sophisticated books, figurines (they would have to be accurate), I don't even know what... Shark stuff for the budding shark expert. Thank you for any suggestions! Desert Rat
I have gotten some awesome coffee table type books about sharks for my shark fan at Barnes & Noble (and often, Borders). Usually they are in the discount section at the front of the store for $15 or less. Also, a cool shark's tooth would make a great stocking stuffer. acurtis75
I saw this in the skymall magazine earlier this week. It looks pretty cool and dd immediately added it to her christmas list when she saw it. http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=204093035&c=10320

It has clear overlay pages with views of shark insides. And it has info we haven't found in other books we've read.
Halcyon
We're on a "shark hunt" for my son this Christmas as well. Here are some of the items we are considering: Shark Anatomy Model Some shark books: SHark Life Sharks of the World Air Swimmer Shark-looks a bit silly and unwieldy, plus it needs helium.
