KatA
I could use some help brainstorming. I need to bring food to a baby shower (4 adults + kids). I would prefer for it not to be sweet (someone's already making cupcakes) and no allergies. I have no idea... Help? TIA!
kewb
Do you need to bring a dessert or a dish? I like mini-food at a shower. Little sandwiches, bite size appetizers, etc.
KatA
Just finger food or dessert, not a complete dish.
jennsmile
:iagree: Also a veggie tray with dip or hummus. A fruit tray. Or a deli and cheese tray with some crackers.

KatA
Thanks. It might seem like a really simple question, but I literally couldn't think of anything.

I know what you mean. :D Sometimes a list gets the ideas flowing...even if everything on the list makes you think "BLECH! I'd nver bring that!" unsinkable
Hummus made me think of this Greek layered dip that I make that was a big hit. It's basically layers of flavored cream cheese, hummus, chopped onions, tomatoes, cukes and then feta. Serve with anyting crunchy but toasted pitas are awesome. KatA
The 7 layered dip sounds good. I'll do a google search for the greek dip, that sounds yummy! (I need breakfast...)
unsinkable
The 7 layered dip sounds good. I'll do a google search for the greek dip, that sounds yummy! (I need breakfast...) It's super easy. The cream cheese is just chive and onion flavored but you can use any flavor or plain or add your own seasonings to plain. Then hummus and the other stuff. I forgot to write olives in the original recipe. Kalamata olives...that's the best part!
TXMomof4
These hawaiian roll ham sandwiches are the best shower food ever! I've had them at all of my showers (yes, I'm one of those who had a shower for every baby). I make them for lunches now quite often and everyone loves them.
