momma aimee
I am looking to add something to our Bible time each morning. Currently I read to them from the children's bible (http://www.amazon.com/Every-Day-God-Childs-Daily/dp/1404184643/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319137251&sr=8-1) I am looking to make things a bit more interactive, without crafts. we do art, and I pull some art from 1001 ways to introduce the bible to children, I was thinking a work book, with puzzles and a few questions, like complete the sentence, or matching, or comprehensions and so on -- I can alter my passage reading to match the work book; but i wanted something more for them to have to think about and do and process. any suggestions? katnorman
We do Christian Light Education Bible and it has a workbook that my dd does activities in. I read a passage from the teacher's guide (the story is also in the student book) and then we talk about it and she does the activity, usually a coloring page, maze, dot to dot, cut and paste. acurtis75
I really like the Kay Arthur Discover 4 Yourself inductive Bible Study books for children. We start with the one about How to Study the Bible. There are several different books. My dd was a little younger than the target age when we started so we did it together but now she does them herself. www.harvesthousepublishers.com

bluechicken
I really like the Explorer's Bible study. Right now we are doing Beginnings which is all oral with reading comprehension questions at the end of the lesson. They have different levels so the next level includes a workbook. It is set up so that multiple children can use different books but everyone is studying the same material. You can find it here.... http://www.rainbowresource.com/prodlist.php?subject=13&category=3587

I know that you're Catholic as we are. So I would recommend The Image of God series. You can find them on CHC. They are great and don't require any crafts be done. We use them and really enjoy them.
