Melissa B
I want to get a period picture (costume/dress-up) taken of my children for a Christmas gift. We do not have the outfits. I need to find a photographer that supplies them. I can't find any photographers that do this, but maybe I'm not searching correctly. I think Glamour Shots used to do this, but they don't any more. Any suggestions? We are in central Florida. I would be willing to drive most anywhere in Florida. Thanks!
AndyJoy
I found this place in Kissimmee: Old Town Portrait Gallery Though it is an amusement park, it looks like admission to Old Town is free--you only pay for specific things like rides, food, photos, etc. Edited October 12, 2011 by AndyJoy
Rosie_0801
Which period? You could try contacting your local re-enactment group. They'll probably have clothes, and if they have a photographer, that person might well like the job. Rosie

Cricket
We had our picutre done at our state fair. I would think any touristy-type town would have a place like that. I remember seeing them all over the place when we would visit the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee (Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge).
Bang!Zoom!
Seeing as it's nearly Halloween, could you pick something reasonable up at a costume supply store? You may be able to adapt some clothing with patterns from JoAnnes or something also if you sew or know someone that does.
Beth S
You could email your FB friends or HS friends, and try to borrow the outfits. If you chose HP or Star Wars for your "costume" it would be rather easy to find borrowed outfits! My dd has sewn various Jane Austen gowns and LOTR outfits, and is hesitant to loan them to strangers . . . but would loan for a friend for a photo. You could also google to get home-assembled ideas, esp. for pirates, etc. Try Goodwill, esp. for the guys. I think it's too complex to sew the entire outfit yourself. We have a costume rental store in our small town. Let us know what you end up doing!
