hollyh
I plan to buy my 4 yo a bike or scooter or something soon. We need to start doing stuff outdoors... Anyway, what can the 2 yo's do? Can they ride a scooter? I have a tricycle that my older dd had, but she couldn't reach the pedals until she was 3.5... any recommendations for the little ones? Alte Veste Academy
My kids all had and loved Kettler tricycles at that age. They are wonderful and very stable. I know they worked for little legs because everyone got a trike when they turned 2, except poor ds5 who got a hand-me-down.
ChristusG
A strider bike? I know a lot of younger kids do great with these: http://www.amazon.com/Strider-PREbike-Balance-Running-Bike/dp/B002SJWWO8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316134679&sr=8-

I've noticed that little kids who use this end up riding bikes without training wheels at 3 or at least seem to have very little trouble transitioning. It's really the cutest thing watching a little kid on one. But you have to be careful since some 2-3 year old kids can really give their parents a good, hard chase.:D
GingerPoppy
My daughter at 2 or 3 loved her 3-wheeled little scooter. It was stable and lots of fun.
hollyh
I'm looking at a strider bike/miniglider for the 4yo and hoping the twins will be able to use it once she is done. They just turned 2, so I don't think they will be able to use it yet. Excited about it though!
amyinva
My youngest started using a strider bike at about 18 mos and now at 2 seems almost ready for a regular 2-wheeler! He is amazing to watch on that thing! Edited September 16, 2011 by Amy in VA

We'll get him one by spring time. :D
