mcconnellboys Posted September 5, 2011 Share Posted September 5, 2011 Have fun! We went last year and had a blast. We didn't go into DC from there, but did stop at Monticello on the way there. We also did a trip to Boston a couple of weeks later and I LOVE Boston (can't wait to go back there)! Jamestown and Yorktown both have terrific indoor museums that are not to miss, too.... I can't tell you how many funny, polite, engaging kids have talked to us at the pool, on the shuttle bus, in the gardens, etc. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
