Any tricks to cleaning a canteen?

Recommended Posts

Hmm, I bet that baking soda thing would work really well on my chicken waterer too.

Okay, I have to know...

what is a chicken waterer?

I'm envisioning a chicken shaped watering can... or a sprinkler system that bathes your chickens... but I bet it's neither...

My ds refuses for me to use bleach on them once I told him of my plan. He said the kids who had to borrow canteens from the base complained that the water tasted bleachy. It was probably just the smell but I know that affects how things taste. So I'll do vinegar but he's super afraid that it'll smell/taste vinegary. I really don't think that will be a problem. Vinegar smell isn't as strong and rinses easier don't you think? I can't do nothing. Eww...
