Karenciavo
I trash picked 4 hard plastic chaise lounges (I'm so excited!) this morning and they are dirty, mostly dirt and pollen. What should I use to clean them up? Will bleach discolor them? Barkeeper's friend? Dawn and hot water? Thanks, Karen
Pretty in Pink
if you have dawn or comet at home i'd try that first. if it doesn't work i saw some "outdoor" bleach at home depot the other day that was specifically for cleaning plastic outdoor furniture, sidewalks, etc.
Tammyla
What a find. :001_smile: They can be eaisly cleaned with a broom, the hose and hot soapy water. Comet or something like that if they are super dirty.
Jen500
they work great too.
momee
We used dish detergent and water and ours cleaned right up. Those cushions are so darned expensive though!
Karenciavo
Thanks. I'll try dawn and elbow grease first. We don't have a pressure washer, but between the deck and the fence we sure need one.
Karenciavo
Those cushions are so darned expensive though! I know! I'm thinking we might go without for now and see if the prices come down. I'm not spending $75 or $100 each that's for sure.
beansprouts
I recently *acquired* a white resin table in similar fashion ;). I scrubbed it with Comet, and it looks pretty much new.
Diana in OR
How about a Magic Eraser?
Geo
I'd use purple stuff. There are some things I'm not crunchy about. Especially when it comes to work. Geo
Suzanne in ABQ
That's what I was going to suggest. Wash it down with a bucket of soapy water, rinse with a hose, then go over the stains with a Magic Eraser.

Karenciavo
How about a Magic Eraser? if you have dawn or comet at home i'd try that first. if it doesn't work i saw some "outdoor" bleach at home depot the other day that was specifically for cleaning plastic outdoor furniture, sidewalks, etc. I tried Dawn and Magic Eraser, but it didn't do a sufficient job. Went to Lowes and picked up the outdoor bleach and that along with the Magic Eraser did the job, looks new. That outdoor bleach is potent! Thanks :001_smile:
