Sue G in PA
Yeah Janna! Congratulations! I'm so very happy for you. Love his name. I've been away from my computer today so this is the first I've seen the announcement. I'm sorry your labor was long, but wow...10 min. from trans. to birth. That must be a record! Glad you are both doing okay. Jesse had a bit of mucous left over in his nose/mouth, too. He was a bit sniffly the first 3 days or so. He also had a struggle with nursing...wouldn't open his mouth wide enough to latch on correctly so I was really sore, too. Felt like hot knives going through my breast every time he nursed. Try nursing Atticus in a warm bath with you. He might relax enough to latch on properly. Buy lots of Lasinoh for the pain and air out your breasts frequently between feedings. My midwife always suggested rubbing a little breast milk on your N*pples after each feeding, too. Well, so happy he is finally here. That makes 3 WTM babies in 5 days! Must be a record. Take care of yourself. Congrats, again!

KidsHappen
My last baby had the same problems and spent a week in NCIU. It was a very difficult and stressful time. I am so glad to hear things are good now. Hope the breastfeeding smooths out soon.
