Joy at Home
We just realized that we could stream Netflix through our Wii. It was easy to download the software through our Wii, and now the kids are having a ball looking through kids movies. I'm so thrilled! I never really watched any instand movies through Netflix because I didn't want to watch it on the computer, but now that we can watch it on the t.v. . . . wow. joannqn
Enjoy! There's lots of good things on Netflix to stream instantly. Try Doctor Who...the new series (there's 5 seasons). And beware because there's no filter that I know of. My 17 month old has a knack of starting rated R, NC-17, and NR stuff that's near porn quality. Trish
Is this a wireless connection? Are there any troubles with signal or slow speeds?
Joy at Home
Is this a wireless connection? Are there any troubles with signal or slow speeds? Well, I have a wireless modem for my laptops and it works through that. So far, no issues with signal or speed:)
~Jo
Is this a wireless connection? Are there any troubles with signal or slow speeds? Every once in a while we have to wait for it to buffer but most of the time we don't have any issues...well unless we have all the computers/iPhones/Netflix going at one time...then you might have a bit of a wait for it to download. :D
JeneralMom
We got a Wii for Christmas and are loving the streaming Netflix capability, but we are having some issues - when we load both the internet on the computer and try to stream Netflix we are losing the connection. However, we think it has to do with our router because it was happening with our phone also until we changed to one with a different bandwidth. May be time for a new router. WiseOwlKnits
We discovered the same thing a few months ago and absolutely LOVE it!!! We do have a security block on ours though so the kids can't start movies without us entering a passcode. I don't remember how we set it up, but it was somewhere in the Netflix setup guide I thought. We don't have any problems with the connection. The quality is great and the instant watch is awesome!!

Just wanted to let you know that there is a way to filter the netflix. We found it through the netflix web site - you can block certain ratings and change it anytime you want to. We went to our account at netflix.com and found it under settings.
Jen in PA
Our Roku player will be here on Wednesday and I am just drooling over the Netflix site -- mostly for the aforementioned Doctor Who.
StephanieZ
LOL, the kids are doing just that right now. . . LOVE IT! Earlier this afternoon, I was watching one thing on netflix on a window on my laptop, while the kids were watching something else through the wii. . . Meanwhile, three netflix discs sit unwatched. (I love vacation!)
