BMW
Can I sip on some coffee... or would that ruin the blood tests? I'm having just about everything you can think of tested... It is a 12 hour test and I plan on going in 45 minutes... The hunger doesn't bother me, but I SOOOO want my cup of coffee... So, I love you for telling me to enjoy my cup of coffe... And I guess I love you more for telling me to knock it off and wait... that blood tests need to be as accurate as possible... Sniff... sniff... SailorMom
Sadly, no :( Stay away from anything but water.... Yeah - it's awful.

Carrie12345
Nope. It'll be extra enjoyable after the fact, though! I could have had black coffee when I did basic glucose testing, but it just wasn't worth skipping my sweetened creamer. So I splurged and got a fancy coffee (and a donut ;)) on my way home. It definitely made up for it!
Cinder
I know it's too late now, but when dh goes in for his fasting blood test he's told he can have water or black coffee but nothing else before the test. He usually gets complete bloodwork because he has several issues that need monitoring. Cinder
BMW
Phew. I made it! I am usually never hungry in the morning. I do enjoy my coffee, though. And the sweetest reward was that after the blood draw and my gyn appointment, I jaunted down the hall and peeked in on my granddaughter, Chloe!! She is now 4 pounds and should get to go home in a couple of weeks!!!
