The one I would prefer is ChessMates, I have checked it many years earlier, but it only works with Windows95, I still can not arrange another computer with it. So I bought on ebay LegoChess, and it is good. Not as good as Chessmates, but provides talking instructions, and lots of excersize. My daughter really enjoys it for already 4+ hours. It is self-teaching, and she learns all by herself, instructing me time to time. She is 5, and we just stat learning Chess, Mom too. I like it because it has classes from beginner thru master levels. It also offers the option to just play games.
