Frontier Mom Posted September 12, 2010 Share Posted September 12, 2010 I posted a few weeks back about the possibility of a young teen coming to live with us. Well, my dh flies out Friday and they will fly back here together on Saturday!! I am so excited for us, as well as this wonderful young man. All I can say is it is definitely a God-thing as we never went out looking for another teen to raise. Our family is very excited but aware that things will be somewhat different. A little more sacrifice and being the example...not really bad things either. It still seems somewhat surreal that it is finally coming to pass. Now, I have to get some things moved around and organized for his arrival! Thanks for all your prayers and support. You're the best. Here is the original thread. Yes, I have seen this movie and I loved the line where her friends say, "You are changing that boy's life." She answers, "No, he is changing mine." That is my prayer! Oh, and having Sandra Bullock play me might be OK too;) We are truly excited and our church has just been amazing. Someone gave us a bunk bed and a dresser to use. We have been offered so much but since I don't know what he has and doesn't have, I am asking people to wait. I also don't want to suburbanize him too fast, IYKWIM.
