brijen97
We are having a kids only (well, their parents will probably hang out but you know what I mean!) birthday party for my daughter on saturday. Its a science party with tie-dying t-shirts with sharpie markers, making bracelets out of beads that change color in the sunlight and are ending with a soda geyser. We are having cake and ice cream...the party is starting at 1 so I expect everyone to have eaten before they arrive and to be home well before dinner. My question is should I have snack type foods around and if so....any suggestions? The kids are ages 3-8. Thanks!
anissa
I don't think you need snacks. The cake and ice cream should fill up their little bellies. As for snacks that go with your party theme...that would be fun, just not needed IMHO. Maybe coffee or something for the grownups?
Jan in SC
I don't think you have to provide any other snacks. I always feel more comfortable having a few snacks, though. For those ages, I would probably have a bowl of pretzels, and a bowl of grapes. (That is just me, though!!!)
AngieW in Texas
For an after-lunch party, I would probably have chips, baby carrots, apple slices, and dipping stuff. None of my kids will actually touch dipping stuff, but lots of other kids do. I often put out cheese as well.
Sherry in OH
I'd probably offer popcorn or pretzels to counter the sweetness of cake and ice cream. Fruit is nice too. I'd have some juice, water, or milk on hand for those who do not drink soda.
