TheCoffeeChick
I tried searching for this, but nothing came up. I just KNOW I've seen it somewhere before!! :glare: Anyways, I am trying to set up all my schedules for the upcoming school year and want to know if anyone has already set up a 36 week schedule for SOTW2. If not I'll do it myself, but I figure I may as well ask if anyone has done the work! ;)
KrissiK
We'll be doing SOTW2 next year, but I don't really schedule it out. I do sort of, but it always gets messed up because I'll either find a really good library book and drag things out a little, or what I had planned isn't going great so we just skip on ahead. So, we just kind of meander through the book and when we get done, we get done. At least that's what we've been doing for SOTW1
monalisa
There is a SOTW 2 yahoo group. In the files section is a schedule, but I think it is for 40 weeks. In any case, it is very handy.

TheCoffeeChick
If anyone is interested, here is a barebones schedule that I made. We'll be doing history 3 days a week. Day one is 1/2 the reading, a color page, 2-4 review questions done orally, and narration exercise. Day two is the other 1/2 of the reading, 2-4 review questions done orally, and map work. Day three is project day. (I also have cooking projects scheduled for each week that there is a recipe in the AG to be done on any day of the week.) WEEK: Ch. 1 & first 2 sections of Ch. 2 rest of Ch. 2 & Ch. 3 Ch. 4 Ch. 5-6 Ch. 7 Ch. 8-9 Ch. 10-11 Ch. 12-13 Ch. 14 Ch. 15 Ch. 16 Ch. 17 Ch. 18 Ch. 19 Ch. 20 & first section of Ch. 21 last section Ch. 21 - Ch. 22 Ch. 23 Ch. 24 Ch. 25 Ch. 26 Ch. 27 Ch. 28 Ch. 29-30 Ch. 31 Ch. 32 Ch. 33 Ch. 34 Ch. 35 Ch. 36 Ch. 37 Ch. 38 Ch. 39 Ch. 40 Ch. 41 Ch. 42 This gives us an extra week in our scheduled year (36 weeks) to make up work or to add a big end of the year project. The chapters I doubled up were ones that didn't have as many extra activties in the AG as some of the larger chapters or my library didn't have very many books to supplement. I went through the entire AG and scheduled an activity or craft to do on each project day. And listed 3-5 books per week that our library has to match our lessons for the week. Looks like it will be a great school year. :)
