  1. I thought I did my homework when I purchased my new tablet. It's a 10 inch android. I can't seem to do anything without downloading Adobe flash player. Does anyone here make photo books on their Android tablet? Ideas please.
  2. I'm looking for ideas for family time with a teenager, DH is in a wheelchair which narrows the possibilities.
  3. Check out the Congressional Award. It entails a LOT of volunteer, personal development and fitness requirements (and more!) and adds something valuable to their he transcripts!
  4. I mean can the workbook be used successfully without the main text?
  5. I'm hoping to get input from someone who's used Christian Liberty Press Adventures and Phonics program. I'd like to know if you've had success with this program and what exactly you need to teach it. (Student & teacher manual?) Also, if you have other suggestions on very inexpensive programs, please let me know. I'm trying to help a single mom who has no money to get started in homeschooling. (She's on disability so funds are scarce) Thanks much!
  6. I sold my IEW program and forgot to save a copy of the checklists for myself. I'm wondering if anyone can help me get a hold of the different level checklists?
  7. I purchased it for my 17-year-old son who needs modifications in his curriculum. We've already done 2 of the 13 units and where enjoying it as much as we did Biology 101. I throw in a lot of "extras" as yes, the mathematics are weak (but that's where DS special needs lie).
  8. follows Pre Algebra? Is it considered Algebra 1?
  9. No frills please. We have to squeeze a summer course in here so we are avoiding Literature Approach type curriculum. Would be nice to have DVDs or audios with some reading and a few reports. All I have found so far is Christian Freedom Baptist Curriculum (as far as simplicity goes) but i want more selection. ideas?
  10. He's 17 y/o, in 5'10.5" and weighed in today at 242! He's pre-diabetic, works out at the gym 6 days/wk(1 hr/day, we do no carbs after 3:00pm. I've been actively trying to help since January 2013 when he was 241, he went down to 229 last spring, then put it back on. Plenty of evidence for closet eating! He also has Aspergers S so that doesn't help! Need suggestions.
  11. Hi One Step at a Time! Not sure yet, but what's your opinion of Land of Fair Play?
  12. Has anyone used this for a highschool half credit course? Needing something light.
  13. WHOA! I got me some serious homework! Thank you!
  14. He is a little delayed so the vocab needs to be easy to understand. His learning eval demonstrates that he does best with memory. Curriculum which has fill-in-the-blank questions which are regurgitated back on a test. We live in New England so I was looking at covering material you'd use in a BJU book, .5 credit to meet the state requirement. No to online, DVD okay as it can be watched several times over. Graduation in 2016.
  15. preferably at Jr. High level. I'm willing to go with an easy to learn curriculum, a series of tapes or several real books to make up my own course. Need suggestions please.
  16. Does anyone have experience using this program or is it too new yet?
  17. Has anyone used this program? We used Biology 101 with great success this year and I was wondering if the chemistry course was equally as wonderful. Thanks a bunch!
  18. My DS has been working on the Congressional award. He seems to be lacking ideas for the category of exploration/expedition. I'm hoping people could add on to these lists. He needs expeditions longer than two days-one week in length. Exploration Ideas: Birdwatching(he did this one) fishing camping Expedition ideas (cultural type, historical immersion) visit child day care/senior day (he did this one also) celebrate holidays with family of different religion i.e. Jewish Passover spend some time working on a working farm i.e. dairy, ranch experiencing a day with a person with different handicaps: deaf, blind, mentally retarded
