Jean in Newcastle
There was a very good thread about this in the past (search "whole foods"). I use the "American Wholefoods Cuisine" by the Goldbecks. Someone recommended the cookbook called "Simply in Season". I love it!! Right now, I'm planning to buy a copy instead of hogging the library copy all the time. jeri
but for baking I love the King Arthur Whole Grains Cookbook! I make so many breakfast items out of it! Otherwise I find ethnic cookbooks tend to fill the bill. jeri
beansprouts
Whole Foods, but I really like Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. Nourishing Traditions is extremely informative, and I highly recommend it for that reason. I don't care for many of the recipes.

This is mine, too. It is full of easy, healthy recipes and lots of helpful information (like how long to cook grains).

Chris in VA
Oh yes, I'll second this. The very first section, where the author speaks of a person preparing her husband's lunch, is one of the most beautiful arguments for serving whole foods I've ever seen. It also contains a quote that I absolutely adore--something like, I began living the life I had, not the life I had dreamed of or thought I had a right to. That's not a direct quote--perhaps you can correct me.
