If it looks fine, sure. Bad lettuce is obviously bad.

If it is bad, you'll know it. It probably won't last as long as usual, after you open it, so plan to eat it quickly.

Yes, absolutely. Just wash it and inspect--if it's rotting, that will be obvious.

If it's not yucky, I would. I do that all the time. As long as it's not slimy, it's still good as far as I'm concerned.

:iagree:with all the other posters; go ahead and eat it if it looks fine. However, I am quite surprised that the lettuce is 6-7 days past the expiration date, and doesn't look slimy? :001_huh: I regularly buy salad, particularly cole slaw, that gets yucky after only a couple of days in the fridge, regardless of the due date. Maybe I need a new fridge :glare:.
