Bread bakers- storage?

I have just recently started baking bread for the kids. I was just wondering what everyone used to store loaves of bread? So far I have used an old bread bag, but it is getting worn out.

I use (and reuse) a gallon-sized ziploc bag.

I keep all bags - tortilla bags, pita bags, etc. We use those as well as Ziploc bags when we run out of the others.

Most of the time I just use a paper bag - like a lunch bag. But just the loaf we are presently eating because it doesn't last longer than a day.

We just cover the cut end of the loaf with whatever - old plastic bag, aluminum foil, etc. The point being you don't have to put the whole loaf in the bag.

I use the TWO gallon ziplock bags. I wash and reuse them as needed. they also hold pies and other large things. One box can last 1+ yrs.

I use a Pyrex glass dish with a plastic lid. We don't use disposable plastic items with our food.

I buy bags, and I'm not ashamed to say so.:D I get mine from Pleasant Hill Grain. I also slice all the loaves before I put them in the bags.

I reuse big ziplocks, but primarily, I use this acrylic bread box that I bought from King Arthur flour. I'm hoping to get a real breadbox someday, though :)

Same here - although I usually only put half a loaf in each bag (pre-sliced), and then the extras go into the freezer til we need them.

I have a plastic container to put it in. I make my bread in a bread machine, though, so they are an odd shape and wouldn't fit in a traditional bread bag, and the loaves are too big to fit in any sort of Ziploc.

I saw that on their site this morning and thought it looked interesting. Does it work well? Should I just stick my bread directly into that breadbox that holds everything under the sun except bread at the moment? :blushing: It is a pretty old wooden breadbox. I used to store the store bought bread in there (in their bags of course), but DH took it over a while ago.
