HRAAB
I never freeze meals, but I'm looking for some recipes to make up for a family whose daughter is in ICU. I don't know of any diet restrictions. What works well with being frozen?
SonshineLearner
Chicken Divan works great!! :)
ScoutTN
Things we freeze: chx pot pie chili meat/chx filling for tacos or fajitas lasagna (of course) chx/broc/rice casserole hth
LauraGB
Most soups freeze well. I might avoid ones with noodles (too soggy after the thaw and reheat) or ones with milk/cream already added in. So, pea, bean, vegetable, meat-based, even minestrone soups work well.
LisaKinVA
Freezer meals? Now you're speaking my language :D I put up about 3 month's worth of meals every quarter... here are some of the things that have been "winners" for us: Spaghetti Sauce Mac & Cheese White Chicken Chili Seasoned Black Beans (for burritos) Taco Meat Chili Beef Stew (I make it with frozen veggies and blanched potatoes, but store the meat in it's own bag) Enchilada Casserole Lasagna Chicken Enchiladas Terriyaki Chicken Italian Chicken Chicken Tenders Meatballs or Meatloaf Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry Beef Stroganoff Plantation Supper Most of these things are made to cook up in the crock-pot, or are quickly finished up on the grill, wok or oven. I prefer to store my meals "uncooked," although hamburger dishes and chicken dishes (with the exception of the tenders, and meatloaf) the meat is cooked. KatieJ
Bless you for wanting to help out. Most pasta casseroles freeze well. Cheesy potatoes ( there are tons of recipes, but let me know if you need one) Meatloaf or meatballs. Any kind of cooked/shredded beef or pork for sandwiches. Excelsior! Academy
I've frozen Cranberry Chicken uncooked. Of course, homemade lasagne is always good. :)

HRAAB
Thank you for all the suggestions. I think I'll do one with beef or chicken and a pasta/vegetarian one.
