WTMCassandra
I had an old-fashioned metal cookie press that worked for 20 years before it gave up the ghost. We replaced it last fall with the only thing we could find--a Wilton Cookie Pro. While it gets rave reviews on the net, it broke--our second Christmas using it! My kingdom for a GOOD cookie press that will LAST! Our Christmas press cookies are a vital tradition in our home. Hive, where can I find such a thing? kalanamak
Amazon has many non-plastic. This one notes a SS piston, and I've had Mercato products in the past that you could plow the fields with: http://www.amazon.com/Cookie-Press-Deluxe-Atlas-Biscuit/dp/B001IJDFFO/ref=pd_sbs_k_4
WTMCassandra
LOL! Thanks for the rec. We went online and got a slightly upgraded Mercato that specified it had metal plates for the cookie shapes. Plastic plates on the cruddy Wilton one were the first things to fail. I never realized Wilton had gotten so chintzy. Ptooey.
Matryoshka
Okay, this is funny - my MIL was just bemoaning to me today that her old cookie press had died and she couldn't find a new one that was any good! So tell me which one to get, and I could get major DIL points. :D
SonshineLearner
Ok... We found two that are great at the Goodwill..... SO... I guess I'd check there:-) Carrie
Carol in Cal.
It's great, and they have a guarentee.
WTMCassandra
I just ordered this. Kalanamak vouches for the manufacturer that they make quality stuff. But I don't know yet if it's any good . . . so buyer beware.
WTMCassandra
Oh, I hadn't thought of Pampered Chef. If the one I ordered is a bust, I will keep that in mind.
