krystal70
Is there a free science curriculum that anyone knows of? I recall a lady on here that did a free history and I thought that she had a science one as well??? Looking for something for my 10DS. He is currently doing Christian Kids Explore Earth and Space but I want a more general science that cheap or free..:)
Lovedtodeath
Are you thinking of Jenn with her site guesthollow.com? Last time I checked she had a one year study of the human body on her site as science, but nothing general.
krystal70
Yes, that would be her! Thank you! It is not general but I can see what she has and maybe pull up a bit that I can use. :) Maybe a unit study of some sort would be what I need to do for Ry. Does anyone else know of more free science????
Aurelia
It's not an actual curriculum, but Ellen McHenry has several free science activities on her website.

stripe
I've seen this lady's chemistry material -- not free, but cheap: http://www.howtoteachscience.com/ and I think these sites might give you ideas http://homechemistry.blogspot.com/ http://homebiology.blogspot.com/ (these two by the same person) http://kidswhothink.blogspot.com/ http://teachengineering.org/index.php (k-12 lesson plans) http://msnucleus.org/curriculum/curriculum.html Another idea is Nebel's Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding. Several years of ideas for about $25. The current book is k-2 and I think 3-5 is due out soon.

Lovedtodeath
Can I give a plug for Jessica at Trivium Academy Blog for her science plans? Another not free, but cheap.

Joy at Home
We're using this and loving it :001_smile: http://www.guesthollow.com/homeschool/science/otters_science/science_human_body.html It fits like a glove for dd 8, who loves lots of living books for science. Has lots of great links, etc. What a blessing to have a homeschooling mom share her efforts. Blessings, Lisa
TechWife
Have you looked in the Educator section at the nasa website? They have a ton of free studies and if you need them to send you something, they will FREE. I have gotten free DVD's from them before. There is some great stuff there.
