cdrumm4448
If you were going to read just one book regarding homeschooling, which one would it be? I tend to get too involved in the research and planning stage of something, and I'm trying to avoid that in this situation. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Mrs Mungo
I recommend two books (one of them is short) to all the new homeschoolers I know. Those are: Homeschooling Year by Year by Rebecca Rupp and The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer.
plain jane
My two favorites (and the only homeschooling books I've paid money for vs. borrowing from friends or the library) are The Well Trained Mind and The Latin Centered Curriculum.

Mom0012
I found Mary Pride's Complete Guide To Getting Started in Homeschooling very helpful when I first started out. She goes through all the different methods of homeschooling and she also talks about all the different goals people have for homeschooling and how to align your method with your goal. It was really eye-opening for me as a new homeschooler. Lisa
