Whereneverever
Anyone used these? It's just a supplement/ interest builder, right?
lauracolumbus
Yes, my ds enjoyed them--maybe b/c we used them as 'off Saxon' days. Laura
stripe
The one I have is a picture book with a math-related story line.
Whereneverever
Well, that was quick! In that case- are they worth getting? Kids like them?
lauracolumbus
Can you get them from the library? I don't think my ds would use them more than a couple of times. He read several in one sitting. Of course, I'm passing them down, but still. We got them cheap at a Scholastic sale I think. Laura
Suzannah
We get them from the library. I think DS has read them all twice (last summer and then again a month or two ago.) They're great for periodic review.
Whereneverever
I just checked my library online- and they have the books. I requested them. Thanks!
skaterbabs
They're really cute; I've added them of my "to buy" list. I think Rainbow has the paperback set of five for about $40.
K&Rs Mom
My dc enjoy them but I don't think I'd buy them new. We have a couple (find them at Goodwill frequently), and they're good exposure to concepts & vocabulary that early elementary don't usually get, but nothing substantial. One comes with a cardstock protractor, which is (inexplicably) very popular here.
SonshineLearner
I just LOVE them. I've never been able to find them at the Goodwill....(no fair...send them to me:-) I also like other books by the author, Cindy Neuschwander.....and Greg Tang's. Enjoy! Carrie PS. PeterPan
Sir Cumference and the others are fine, but didn't make it to bathroom reading level like Number Devil or Gebra Named Al.
