  1. I think I'm gonna re-name this dessert to James Spader in a Pan :drool5:
  2. Um,....I think that I have patented this idea and I will thankyoukindly to please pay me my royalties when you use my brilliant idea. ;) I was a genius before my time.
  3. eww eww eww. I'm picturing that moustache with chocolate pudding and cool whip. :tongue_smilie:
  4. I make that and in our house it's called Striped Delight, but if you are wanting to go strictly with the 'changing it from a sexual reference', then might I suggest: Fun in a Pan OR 'Knowing Thy-Husband Biblically' in a Pan ?? :auto:
  5. I am VERY interested in hearing how this goes for you! I can't see having the funds for this at this time, but I would like to do this next summer. I read the link based on reading this very thread and I am excited about the concept. I'm thinking "Latin Overload", of course, but I think it just may work! Awaiting your report with baited breath........ :lurk5:
  6. I'm so sorry that you are going through this! We walked down a similar path with my brother a year and a half ago. Unfortunately, he died before he could even get to hospice. He was only 47 and it was horrible to watch. I was there the night he died. I have a separate blog for the experience. If you want to read it (and I recognize that you may not), it's here: http://www.letterstoabrotherdying.blogspot.com
  7. I sooo empathize with you and was just talking a friend/co-worker about this very thing last night. We know someone who is about to get married and is all excited about this new part of her life...... I am happy for that friend, but, at the same time, so jealous, that she gets to have something....by choice and as an adult, that I never got to experience. It completely alters the course of your life and that is really hard to handle. Even with therapy, but therapy does help. I consider it a priority. If you want to talk more via PM.....I'm here.
  8. In honour of your Grande Accomplishment I hereby bestow upon you one batch of Cappuccino Chocolate Chip Cookies. :tongue_smilie: (IRL, of course. They taste so much better IRL....)
  9. I could 'have sexual thoughts' playing Scrabble. (and HAVE!) I don't think that the sport is necessarily going to increase the incidence of sexual thoughts. It is part of the age and part of just being human. Let the kids compet against each other. Males are not superior protectors and women are not inferior weaker vessels.
  10. This quote was enough to sully me on his argument: "There is a way to honor a woman. That’s our job as men. This honor “understands†something. It understands that women are the “weaker vessel.†" I am NOT a weaker vessel. Ownership of a penis doesn't equal strength or authority, imho. :glare:
  11. Why, Aggie, you're gonna make me blush! :blushing: Thank you!
  12. That may have been YOUR experience, but the movie Jesus Camp very accurately portrays my childhood. Not mad at YOU, of course, angry that I got a jacked up childhood complete with being spanked for not "dancing for the lord", fire and brimstone when I really just wanted to hang out with my friends, etc. For me? I have completely walked away from all religion. Not interested and I actively do my best to keep my children away from religion, too. Lucky for me I married an atheist, so there is no expectation of religious training. We lean toward UU, if anything.
  13. Yes, and I DO. It is just enough food. In fact, I am old enough to remember when McDonalds served the same food that is now in a Happy Meal to adults and called it good. (I swear, I'm not 80 years old!) A cheeseburger and a small fry are adequate for an adult. Of course, it's even better with a Big Mac chaser!
  14. I'm here. First post. I live in the OKC area. :)
