  1. I gave up on cleaning and started wasting time tweaking our school plans for January. You know, the ones I won't be using for at least 2 weeks. Company will be here in a few days. Procrastination. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  2. Ooh, 5,000 points! I think that means I'm close to leveling up! Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  3. I was going to suggest Nerf. We are having a very Nerf Christmas here. My boys are getting the bows, my nephews are getting walkie talkies and my friend's boys are getting some guns. And extra darts in the stockings. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  4. I cleaned the bathroom....it's just a drop from ocean of to-dos, but it's done.
  5. I have a lot of housekeeping type tasks to complete. I don't wanna do them. I need to clean the entire house. I have lots of laundry to catch up on. Dishes, oh so many dishes. I need to get groceries. I have to take the trash out. I have to vacuum. There's more. It's overwhelming and I feel like a deer in headlights. I'm just staring at the chaos, frozen stiff. 6. A few months ago I threw out all of our socks. Now each person in the house has a certain type/color and matching socks is far less painful. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  7. I agree. Take some time to process the emotions. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  8. I love Wrinkle in Time. That's one of the many stories that I'm dying to read with the kids. I can't wait. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  9. I had planned to color code by when they would be opened (one style for gifts that go to my in-laws house, one for our little family, and one for our big get together). But my husband tried to be helpful and wrap some stuff, so that's out. I love him. I found a few gift bags to use and have temporarily labeled everything with post its. 10. I'm out of gift tags and running low on wrapping paper. Dang it. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  11. I love this. What a beautiful sentiment! Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  12. That sounds like so much fun! And it's the day before my birthday...I'm jealous. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  13. Mine are both my favorite at different times of the day. It depends on what they're doing, saying, thinking at the time.
  14. One of the major perks of being Mom is that Santa always knows exactly what I want. When Weapon X was a baby, I read a blog post somewhere. The author was talking about how when they were a child they always thought their mom was naughty. Santa took so much thought and care filling stockings for them and their dad, but mom's stocking was a mishmash of stuff just found around the house! That's never happened here. 15. The boys have been watching a lot of Jake and the Neverland Pirates lately. So we were driving home today. We were about a mile out of town already and still several miles from home. Weapon X: Mom, I have to pee. Me: Can you hold it or do I need to pull over? Weapon X: Pull over. I stop the car on the side of the road. Weapon X: Yo Ho here we go! We got the car to stop and found 3 golden blooms. Me: Do you mean gold doubloons? Weapon X: yep, golden blooms. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  16. We ended up with a extra half hour between appointments. That means I'm at the coffee shop. So hooray. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  17. You deserve many gold stars. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  18. I need 3 more gifts....and I have no ideas. I think I'm doomed. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  19. I've put a lot of thought into this. I think I will pick one habit per month to focus on, so some of these won't even get started until the end of the year. The non-habit type goals will fit in as time and money allow. 1. Start a bullet journal. Use it consistently. 2. Establish a good morning routine. 3. Establish a good afternoon routine. 4. Exercise regularly. 5. Eat healthier. 6. Get outside more. 7. Make date night a regular thing. 8. Take some time alone. 9. Spend more time with friends. (Make a friend.) 10. Take a vacation. 11. Build up our emergency fund. 12. Paint the living room. 13. Finish the porch. 14. Read daily. 15. Redecorate the bathroom. 16. Declutter the closet. 17. Declutter the storage spaces.
  20. Nope. No end in sight. No matter what we're doing, there's always something that we're not. Just let it go. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  21. How awful to get this news! I'll be praying for you and your family. I think the best course of action would be to document what you've done, a little about your philosophy and your thoughts on your students (as in, their learning styles, what motivates them, any passions or interests). Then set some goals and milestones, not only academic but life skills as well. I would leave these a little more open-ended so the educator and student have a little flexibility. This is an impossible situation and I'm so sorry it's happening to you. You will be in my thoughts. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  22. Slashie is not listless. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  23. When my new journal gets here, I will never be listless again! Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  24. I paid some bills and bought some gifts. Now I'm waiting for Weapon X to finish up his speech. Then I can get gas and go home. Home is where I want to be. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  25. Soak a cotton ball and put that in your ear. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
