  1. My middle name is Louise. It was also my grandmother's middle name. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  2. I showered, pantzed, schooled, and speeched. I tried to bank but they are closed. Returned library books. Now we are pizzaing Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  3. We did a math lesson. Weapon X was sort of cooperative. He likes it better when we are on break, and he told me so. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  4. Rocco! Shade has a coffee emergency! Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  5. I felt the same way when I read the Case for Christ. It was like he spent so much effort trying to sound credible that I was bored by he time he got around to making his point. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  6. I started buying books and project kits right after I purchased our kindergarten curriculum. Just a little here and there so hubby doesn't realize just how much I've spent. After about 6 months, I am now only 2 books and one science kit short of what I want. And in April when DH gets his bonus, I can spend that on zoo/museum passes instead. Muahahaha! #evilcurriculumhoarder Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  7. I've been wondering the same thing. I'm so tempted to get it because we have a small library (which is a 30 minute drive, so electronic delivery is nice). But I'm not sure if it will really be worth it. And I do have Overdrive through the library. I'm talking myself out of it again. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  8. On our little trip, husband and I found a cute little used bookstore. I got a box set about world religions that I'm looking forward to, as well as a few nice classics. And also, the Black Echo. Because ITT invades my brain and makes me buy stuff. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  9. Oh no! Poor Gymnast! And poor Renai! That does not sound like a fun way to spend NYE. Hope she's alright. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  10. That's beautiful. Mine looks nothing like that. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  11. We were opening presents on Christmas day. Immediately after the last one had been opened, Weapon X looks at me and asks, "How many days until my birthday?" Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  12. I would give them the summary the day before, and ask them to highlight the key ideas. That way they could get used to looking for the most important information. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  13. No cheese? That's zombie apocalypse level need. I think Mal gets 90% of his daily intake from cheese alone. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  14. Captain Mal is having a colossal meltdown because there is no chocolate milk. Apparently running out of chocolate syrup is the same as hitting him repeatedly with a blunt object. *I only imagine this would be his reaction to being beaten with a blunt object. It's never been tested. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  15. My Thriftbooks order came today. I almost have everything for next year. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  16. I put away all of Christmas and straightened up the house. Its not sparkling clean or Pinterest perfect, but clean to the point where I won't be overwhelmed upon my return.
  17. I agree that an hour and a half is too much for a 4/5 year old. At that age I say, "Let them play!" Little boys need movement. My boys are almost 6 and almost 3 so a year older than yours. Our day looks like this: Breakfast Between 1-1.5 hours outside play while I clean up and get dressed 15 minutes of phonics 10 minute brain break 15 minutes handwriting 15 minutes math with manipulatives Lunch break and another 30 mins outside, usually we take the dogs for a walk. In the afternoon, we do a fun experiment or logic game, then read aloud. Our read aloud might be fiction, or science, or history. I let them help choose on our weekly library trip. Also, Mandatory quiet time for at least an hour. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  18. I vacuumed up millions of pine needles. And I think a couple Lego. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  19. We need it. Usually when we do get the chance to drop the kids off, we're too exhausted to do anything anyway. And DH will be working 12 hour days, 7 days a week from January 15-March 3. We'll barely see him, and my oldest tends to get super needy and clingy and defiant when Daddy's on turnaround. So I need a chance to recharge before it starts. Real life is hard. 20. Good morning and good coffee to all! Tomorrow DH and I are running away together. Dropping the kids off at my in-laws and going away for a night. I'm pretty excited. Today I have to finish cleaning up the holiday tornado so I can return to a clean house and our regularly scheduled programming. Then next weekend is the birthday party (which I've barely started planning). Why, oh why, did I think January babies were such a good idea? Oh, I remember. I didn't want to be super pregnant in Texas in August... Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  21. Good morning! I'm sick. I blame DH. He brought germs home from work. Doesn't he know germs are not for sharing? Coffee time! Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  22. I like 5 best for copy work. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk Booya
  23. I don't write in books. Ever. That's why I bought the eBook. So I could highlight and make notes guilt-free. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for the tip! I also got a kuerig for Christmas. These Caza Trail cups look yummy and affordable. Edited to fix auto-correct. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  25. I don't read every day because I have a tendency to get sucked into the story and forget that I'm supposed to do stuff in the real world. Stuff like eat, sleep, and insure my little monsters don't kill each other. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
