I inherited a china hutch and buffet from inlaws who did smoke. I researched on how to get the smell out and talked to a few furniture restorers. What they said all the wood would need to be sealed cause every time the drawer slides the smell would come out. There can’t be any unfinished wood cause the wood pores absorbed the odors. I’ve washed them soo many times, they are still sitting in the garage “airing” out.
