I love the Columbia boots but don't want to tuck them in at my age and shape. However, I find tennis shoes and other shoes I have are not very warm. I need some suggestions for some really warm shoes for the winter. Well, really warm considering I live in the South. I know, I know, we don't really know what cold is but I still want a warm pair.

Yes, when mine were that age I used M&Ms! I really loved the workbox system when mine were younger. It made all the difference for us!! I would suggest starting there and reading Parenting with Love and Logic. Letting my kids have natural consequences for dawdling worked like a charm. They hated sitting at the table while everyone else was outside. Now that mine are older, we just implemented Daily Time Management Sheets. I make them plan their day for every half hour in order to complete all assignments. This works great for us as we have co-op classes, home classes, online classes, etc. It is really just a sophisticated workbox system though.

I bought the brand at Walmart and they work really well. I had some "baggies" with a dress I wanted to wear and they worked great. We only have Walmart in our town and I didn't want to drive too far for the real Spanx. However, I laughed so hard putting them on that I almost didn't get ready in time. Believe me that those babies are tight and like putting on panty hose. I bought the ones that start at the waist and go to about mid-thigh. I have been looking at the new leggins and camisoles. Not sure how they work and if they are comfortable.

Not common. Our orthodontist is extremely family friendly and wants the parent back with the child during the assessment. I would be skeptical unless they expect your son to pay for the treatment.

Just another example of the fact that people always take themselves too seriously. You can't even have fun anymore because Brown Bear, Brown Bear may have been written to persuade children to rebellion and war just isn't pretty. I guess they pretty much banned the whole internet as well.

My kitchen just got infested with tiny ants. We had torrential rain for days and they came up beside my dishwasher. The bug guy said they were most likely under the house and walked the water pipes to keep from drowning. Then, they hit the jackpot! Put bait out for them to take back to the colony and so far so good. However, I have thrown away and cleaned my kitchen and it looks fabulous. In a way I am thankful for those little guys as my counters are uncluttered and clean! It also made my dcs stop taking food and drink upstairs as they don't want them in their rooms. They only take water with a lid but they won't even take that as they are afraid of them in their bedrooms. Now if I could only figure out a bug to instigate major vacuuming;-)

I have one from the Dave Ramsey class I took. It's not very pretty but functional. I use the plastic kind for checks or coupons so I can label each compartment and keep it all in one place. It has a rubberband around it that keeps it closed.

I am expecting my shipment today or Monday. I printed out "pounds and inches" and understand the diet. I also have a friend that has had great success with the program. I ordered the pellet form from a source referenced in another thread here. My question is this: Do I need to take the pellets 2 days before going on the 500 calorie diet as suggested in the "pounds and inches pdf" which dealt with shots? Also, do I need to stay on the 500 calories for three days after finishing the pellets? I think I understand everything else but I wasn't able to get a clear answer about this. My friend didn't mention this part to me.

I had the same problem when I tried them. I actually bought a knock-off at Target the other day to make sure I like them before I invest so much in them. So far I actually love the ones from Target.

Stainless Steel thermos bottle is the best. They are rather hard to find now though but I did find some at Target. I'm sure you could order one too. I bought a plastic one and it was worthless. To keep things cold, we often freeze a juice box and pack it in an insulated bag. It keeps everything else cold and is a yummy drink!!
