    My tree is up and decorated. Except for the angel, since it won't fit on top where we have the tree, and I don't want to move the tree. So DS said he'll make a star. Works for me, kid. You make that star. 🌟

    Fancy Pie is super easy - I got the recipe from a holiday cookbook about ten years ago, and now people just kind of expect me to make it. You just cut out leaves from the "leftover" pie crust, bush with cream and sprinkle with sugar, bake 10 min. I don't usually do much in the way of decorating, so this is my decoration. 😜

    Red cooking wine is what I just used. I just added an extra pinch of spice. It's delish.

    I guess you missed the posts where my oven was smoking, the fire alarm was repeatedly going off, doors and windows were thus all thrown open, and the neighborhood dogs were going berserk. But my cheesecake came out wonderfully. I'm cleaning the oven now. Well, I'm letting the cleaner do its thang, yo.
