  1. Maybe you can find him a prostate shaped charm to return the favor. 😳
  2. Fun! Potato bug nailed me. It was right on.
  3. Minimum: rabies it is mandated by law and is a public safety issue. Also your dog would have to be euthanize if their ever was a bite incidence instead of quarantine. Distemper/ parvo: unless he has had a full puppy set and one within the last three years.. It's good for at least 3 years. Lepto and bordetella: I recommend both. Kennel cough only sounds mild if you haven't had a dog that has had it. It can cause permenant tracheal/ bronchial scarring. It is highly contagious. The vaccines today (oral and intra nasal are much more effective) Unless you absolutely never go around other dogs, I would get it. Lepto: rats can carry in their urine, so even urban pets are at risk and it is zoonotic. The vaccine today has about the same reaction rate as distemper/parvo.. Meaning it is much safer than it used to be. You could find out the local incidence by contacting your state vets office. Sorry I am typing on an iPad and am bad at it! 😊
  4. So funny. My first thought was yes she must know my kids. I love to get up early, but my pet peeve is people talking to me early in the morning. I need time to think!, No talking! Gah!
  5. Is it painful only when you inhale/exhale? Is it pleuritis? I had a terrible case this spring, after a mild fever/flu. It was scary and painful, it went away with no treatment (had to take NSAIDs) after 1 week.
  6. Yes including guinea pig, you can use revolution but please get the correct dose from your vet.
  7. Not hard if you have a syringe in order to draw up the right dose. Do not try to measure in drops or something😄
  8. Ps - you need to treat every single pet in the home (dogs, outdoor cats?)
  9. Revolution, gets ticks as well. You need to keep cats treated for at least 3 months in a row because you will continue to have hatch out of baby fleas from the pupae stage (which is impossible to kill), and the eggs already laid will continue developing into pupae and fleas as well. To speed up this process. Vacuuming pet areas, edges, dark areas, upholestry etc, will diminish the eggs left and continue to help the pupae hatch into the next stage which you can kill. Also helpful are the borax based carpet treatments.
  10. Sounds good, it's probably just serosanguinous discharge, especially if she is feeling well. Sugar works wonders in contaminated wounds (as does honey). Hope it heals well!
  11. Id be a little concerned if the drainage is pus after being on a week of antibiotics. I would want to see This again if I had done the initial closure. May need to trim out unhealthy tissue, culture or change antibiotics, or pack wound with sugar, or place drains etc.
  12. I think milk supply has a lot more to do with your hormone status than your calories. Research backs up what Hornblower already stated, and personally, I cut cals with my last baby, and lost a bunch of weight. I also nursed him to 18 months, no problem. I even fasted. My babies were all fat. I think age or other factors like stress affect your hormones and thus your milk supply more than calories.
  13. Oh. I thought you meant at the gym. I hate that.
