  1. I have 3 highschoolers this year. My 12th grader will be mostly outsourced but is using Notgrass for economics. My 9th and 10th graders do the same courses and we are using TOG, Apologia Biology with a co-op, Saxon Alg 1/2&1 with Art Reed DVDs, R&S English, IEW, MCT's WWTW, Henle and Traditional Logic.
  2. What book or program do you recommend for this age? Thanks!
  3. My ears feel like that most days and I have tinnitus. I take sudafed and benedryl when the full feeling is really bad and it does help.
  4. I am really glad we did a boxed first. I knew that everything was getting done and done well without having to worry about piecing it all together. By the following fall we were following WTM and from there I have tweaked until I found what works best for us.
  5. We started homeschooling when my oldest was entering 7th. All of the kids were really excited to homeschool so we didn't have any issues with missing school. We started by using a boxed curriculum and eased into things and as time went on I changed things up a bit. There were a few instances of me saying things like that is how your old teachers taught XYZ but this is how we are going to do it. The kids adapted pretty well. I only do grades in high school and don't do report cards but keep a transcript for each of them. We used to live where testing wasn't a requirement, but we now live where it is mandated. At first we tested through our homeschool group but now I test them myself at home.
  6. Bake the crust first, then sauce, toppings and cheese and rebake until melty.
  7. I am curious if there are plans to continue FLL for grades 5-8?
  8. You can buy, resell or return the print only version. Only the DE or DE/print combo are not resellable.
  9. My son is heading into his 3rd year at the university here and he has been and will continue to commute. It saves him quite a bit of money by commuting so he doesn't mind. There are many days he stays at school and studies with his friends at the library or goes out to eat or whatever and then just drives home when they are done.
  10. I love school supply shopping almost as much as curriculum shopping. Almost
  11. I will have 7th, 9th and 10th this year ( as well as 12th, 4th, 2nd and K lol) I teach the 7th, 9th and 10th graders vocab, latin, grammar and writing togegther. Last year we did our TOG discussion together and I will do some of it together this year but plan a separate time with my 10th grader. They do math independently but we use a Saxon DVD program once they hit Algebra 1/2. My 9th and 10th graders are pretty much in the same courses for everything so they do work/study together and we go over answers, tests etc together as a group. As far as scheduling, the older kids do science and math and any other independent work while I work one on one with my younger kids. Once the younger ones are finished with me the older ones and I sit down and go through the group subjects.
