There was a time in my life when I wore a headcovering, and my mom used to go to hug me and pull it off, too. I had forgotten about it until I read your post on the cookie thread. Then that horrible feeling of invalidation and frustration and even a little betrayal, coming from my mom, came rushing back and hit me hard.
