That was hilarious!

Pregnancy is a whole other ballgame. You NEED to take care of yourself. I give you permission to spend time with the people who nurture you and support you. Have your hubby run interference and let the energy vampires know that you are maxed out and unavailable right now. :grouphug:

I know one of my friends always ate pancakes & syrup for her glucose tests, but it was a long time ago so I don't remember the details. Maybe that would be an alternative for you.
-
Yay! Congrats! I'm very happy for you!

Poor baby! How awful! I will be praying for her.

Ours runs $35-40/month for the 6 of us. We don't do any outside watering at all. We switched from flat rate to metered about 9 months ago, and our water bill actually went down a tad, but the rates are set to go up soon (of course!), so we're looking at an increase.

Congratulations on 25 years!

I didn't vote, since I didn't graduate from an all-girls school. I went to one for my junior year of high school and I enjoyed it a lot. There were a bunch of nice girls there and some good teachers. I didn't mind the uniforms either.

 So funny! (and smart too!)

Some of those books
I've read 45 of them.

I'm sorry. :grouphug: That hurts my heart to read about. Honestly, I used to be just about that bad with my boys when they were little. Thank goodness I woke up and did a 180. I'm sure she feels terrible. Can you give her a hand or offer to listen to her? Also, maybe you can point her to the Gentle Christian Mothers website. I've found it to be immensely helpful.

Woo-hoo! :hurray:
I didn't think the GRE was difficult. Hope you do well!

Wow, that is beautiful, and so lifelike. She has a lot of talent.

A sign language curriculum that the whole family can use?
DH wants in too :001_smile:
Any ideas? I don't even know where to start: kids are 4, 8, 10, and 12.

I love the Say It With Sign series by Lawrence and Sharon Solow. It's an older production but very well done.

366 Delicious Ways to Cook Rice, Beans, and Grains. by Andrea Chesman Everything we've tried is pretty quick, easy, and flavorful. I really like the cowboy and cornbread recipe.
Oh, this looks good! I just requested it from the library. Thanks!
-
Wow, thanks! I just grabbed two scrumptious recipes.
They do have some really good recipes. The warm orzo and spinach salad (one of the winner recipes) is yummy.

There are some studies which say that Nizoral shampoo is supposed to be effective in slowing/stopping hair loss. It's a little more expensive than regular shampoo but a lot cheaper than Rogaine, and you only have to use it a couple of times a week. It might be worth a try. You can buy it at Target, it's near the other dandruff shampoos.

I've tried several recipes from this website (Mediterranean recipes) and they've been very good. I've also made lots of recipes from Penzey's magazines/catalogs and they've all been very tasty.
