  2. Thank you! I was unsure if my plan would actually look good or not, but I think it works. Our ceiling is textured, and we didn’t want to have to try and match that. So this meant no ceiling work at all!
  3. One of the two light fixtures is up, and I think I'm going to be very happy!!
  4. Hi! I didn't have time to get on this morning. I slept in and then got ready to go out. Breakfast with a friend and shopping for light bulbs Took E to the gardens today and got her membership card made. It was such a lovely day to be out amongst so much beauty! The construction teacher from dh's high school is here replacing the lights in our kitchen. I finally decided on what I wanted, so I hope it looks as good as I imagined. I need to do a lot of grading and school work tonight because tomorrow's focus will be getting ready for our trip.

  8. @ScoutTN, thinking of you and so many there! I had 5 Zoom sessions today. My dad got his shipment in, so I went up to TN and helped him set it up. I didn't eat dinner before I left, so I stopped at a fast food place that we have hardly ever been to on the way home. They had chicken tender wraps and fries that were surprisingly good.
  9. I'm done with my students. I finished making the homework plans for tomorrow. I'll post those tonight or in the morning. I'm sleepy, so I might try to take a nap.
  10. I guess I'm overly ready for spring break and rushing to get there!!! LOL! One Zoom session down. The in-person student canceled because she forgot to tell me he was having surgery to stretch his tendons. Both feet are in casts. I have a lot to do for tomorrow, so it's a good thing.
  11. Good morning! We have thunderstorms this morning, but we do have power. I am reading reports of outages in the area. My dad came yesterday. 13. @history-fan, I can't even imagine that much snow, especially this time of year. I'm sorry!! @HomeAgain, I'm glad it isn't more serious but sorry he is having it rough! Classes are done. I think I was able to clear up some confusion a few had from last week's lessons. My dad will be here around 3.

  15. @prairiewindmomma, I don't like grocery shopping on the weekend, especially Sunday, but I just didn't have time until today. The stores are more crowded and more stuff is sold out. Is it the same in your area? Meal plan and shopping are done. A private student contacted me about helping with something, so I hopped on Zoom with her. It was nice to see her because she hadn't needed my help since before Christmas. One load of his laundry is done, and the second is in the dryer. Schoolwork is next until I start dinner.
  16. I slept in a bit and got ready for church. Dh and I made breakfast together. Dh taught our class, and ds texted me saying he was coming on home. We left after class and came home to spend more time with him. It was great hearing all about his Italy trip! We took him out to lunch, and he is heading over to dd's gf's house to play D&D. I'm doing some laundry for him, and he'll come back for dinner. I need to: finish prepping for tomorrow meal plan/grocery list grocery shopping laundry for him dinner (He requested my homemade chicken alfredo because it is an American thing and was disappointed he couldn't get it in Italy.) pay bills/update the big budget book watch something and relax
  17. I had a busy morning and just got to the boards today. Who's in?
  18. I have no experience so no advice to give, but I'm really sorry you are dealing with this! I pray you can get a solution that will help you feel confident in what you can eat!
  19. @math teacher, that sounds like a lot to manage along with the rest of life! I hope their recovery is good and the growth is nothing! @ScoutTN, I'm sorry for the disappointments you had today!! @HomeAgain, I'm sorry you had the same experience as Scout! Today was a lot of fun! I only wish we could have stayed longer, but it was quite a drive and I have laundry and school work to do tonight. There were about 130 people there. We played a Kickstarter game, Back Stabbers, that was fun. We learned to play Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig and definitely want to buy that one! I taught a whole table of 20-somethings how to play Tiny Towns. Fun, fun, fun day! We ate dinner out and took my sister home. I started a load of laundry after getting home, and I need to get started on school work.
