I am struggling. I feel that I am using threats and bribes more than I would like to. I want to raise my children to be self motivated and resourceful....For example getting them ready in the morning, I would love for them to get up brush their teeth and change their clothes...without me having to remind them 30 times. Is this possible? or am i asking for too much? Any tips?

Book a Week in 2011 - week one

Hi read the Hangman's Daughter this week :) -
Well to begin with to support the adrenals I would make sure that you go no longer than 2-3 hours without eating. It doesnot need to be a large amount just a snack could be some nuts, an egg etc. Eat within a half hour of waking up. Not only does this support the adrenals it helps stabilize your blood sugar which in itself has many far reaching benefits. There are various herbs and vitamins that one can take for that as well. If you know your hormones are unbalanced i would find a practitionar near you that does salivary hormone testing to determine what your cortisol levels are, and other hormome levels are. Once you know that information you can have them tailor a program for you. For example if they find that there is an estrogen dominance then I would focus on a good liver cleanse along with balancing blood sugars. Meditation/prayer/ yoga all go along way in supporting the parasympathetic nervous system which allows the body to heal. If you begin a strenous workout regimen with a body that is worn down, your body will most likely resist losing the weight. It will actually create more longterm issues ....

Dr. or Chiropractor?

Do you have any other symptoms besides pain? Is there numbness, tingling, or dizziness? Any nausea or blurred vision? was this sudden or came on gradually over the week? -
I would start by talking to a good lawyer, and gather as much information as you can about the process.

Yes, In middle school they are taught mandarin language arts and history in mandarin. In highschool they have AP Mandarin. I believe they are working on more subjects in Mandarin for high school. -

Thank you all :) fairy tale mama i will check out your blog. Thank you. -
Please no flames. I posted this on the afterschooling section and thought I would post here. My personal primary preference is to homeschool our boys but I am getting alot of resistance from DH. Here is what I posted: So I have my heart set on homeschooling, however DH is resistant, especially since we live in an area that has two seperate public schools that offer a K-8 full montessori program and another school that offers a k-5 mandarin immersion program which will continue till 12. I personally would love my son to learn and be immersed in another language, especially mandarin (and the fact that i do not have to pay copious amounts to do this is very appealing). However, I am very confused and hesitant about making this decision. Anyone out there have any points that we should consider while making this decision? Any advice? Please help... Anyone BTDT? Thanks Shahnaz

Would you count this as actual running?
momchiroto2 replied to Parrothead's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Yup My sister in law has lost so much weight walking around the house after the kids go to bed. I say it counts :) -
Your dessert sounds yummy. My kids chew chlorella like candy. I personally believe it is how we train our palates. I was hosting a playdate for my children and served one of the children coconut juice. The next time he came over and I offered him a drink his eyes glazed over and this look of absoulte horror came over his face as he asked "is this coconut juice?" I guess he did not like it much :)

how to "force" a cold out of your system
momchiroto2 replied to Denisemomof4's topic in General Education Discussion Board
take a steam of chamomile tea, turmeric and sea salt. That will help get things moving. Massage the area right under your clavicles especially on the left side. Vitamin A helps build up the mucous membranes.
