    You know a class must have a fabulous reputation if not just one, but three students arrive in the classroom at 7:30am to secure good seats for a 9am class. (No, not my class, but my DD was one of the students)

      This sort of thing happens often at middle son's school. It really surprised me, but they have "fun" with it. Some kids will even sit through earlier classes in the same room to get a jump!

    Proud of DS who just spent two hours working on an AoPS Challenge problem with a star and three hints - without looking at the hints. He stuck with it and figured it out himself.

    Interview went well I think. He let me basically talk for half an hour, with a few question. I felt a bit nervous, primarily because I was not jst speaking on behalf of my home school, but acted as a representative for an extremely diverse local group, with very divers motivations and schooling philosophies. But I think it went OK.

    What have I done? I have just agreed to being interviewed by a writer for our local paper about homeschooling. Wish me luck.

    Two hours into puzzling over an AoPS geometry problem. It is a challeng problem with star and three hints. No, I am stubborn and will not look at the hints. At least not until tonight. The funny thing is that I must have solved that same problem three years ago with DD.

      I figured it out! While sitting at the hair salon, LOL. Something about having my scalp massaged translated to my brain.

      I found myself drawing on the shower door, trying to solve an AoPS Geometry problem we were stuck on. Dd solved it before I returned downstairs...
