  1. I think one of the keys to good chicken soup is homemade noodles.
  2. Disney World in Florida I thought I would love it, but I never did feel the magic.
  3. Do you realize the store owner's GL policy will pay for medical expenses even if it was her fault? Just the fact the her body was injured on his property is enough for them to pay. For some reason people think you have to prove fault or there has to be some kind of negligence for them to pay. This is not the case. The insurance company will pay for medical expenses up to the limit stated in the policy for medical expenses to others. It is a standard part of the General Libility policy. It is kind of a good will coverage. Now, if her expenses were to go over this policy limit, there would have to be some kind of proof of negligence for them to pay more. Her medical insurance people are well aware that this coverage is standard in GL policies. That is why when she files a medical claim they will go after the other company themselves to get them to pay. They will not pay more than they legally have to. ETA: Here an explanation of how this medical coverage to others works: http://www.thetruthaboutinsurance.com/commercial-general-liability/medical-payments-to-others-cgl-coverage-c/
  4. There's been a lot of talk about fault on this thread. It seems like some here don't realize how the Medical Payments to Others part of a Commercial General Liability policy really works. It is a no-fault, good will coverage. You might want to google it. ;)
  5. This is what happend with our insurance company too. My DS broke his arm in the gym of a church resulting in surgery, therapy, etc. The companies worked together nicely, no lawyers were involved, and we paid nothing out of pocket (not even our deductible). I was worried at first, with it being a church and all, but as it turned out we had nothing but DS's arm to worry about.
  6. Was your salsa homemade??? I wouldn't be at all offended if he has pouring on my homemade salsa.
  7. Authors my son really likes: Wayne Tomas Batson Rick Riordan Gordon Korman Mark Walden Trenton Lee Stewart
  8. Seriously? They are still planning to play this game on Saturday and put this guy right there on the sideline for everyone to see? And this guy is fool enough to do it? I thought for sure they would fire him. Sounds like maybe they are setting him up instead. He'd better quit while he still has his skin.
  9. Is there a way at looking at a list of available books without being a Prime member? We are thinking about signing DS up for Prime (he just got a Kindle) IF I see books on the list that he would be interested in reading.
  10. Even if they have no legal grounds to do it, they should still fire him. They can settle it in court later. IMO the entire program, for now, needs to be shut down.
  11. When I was growing up we had a wood burning stove that would sometimes downdraft. (My dad would often burn hickory.) One day the guy behind me in class commented on how good my hair smellled- LIKE BACON!! :D They should make bacon perfume.
  12. So out of fear, he accepted a promotion to assistant coach?
  13. I guess I don't understand Pennsylvania law. If I walk up on a child being raped, I have every legal right to turn my head and quietly walk away? I am only legally required to call my boss the next day?
  14. I just read an article that ended with a quote from Sue Paterno: "You're all so sweet. And I guess we have to go beat Nebraska without being there," she said. "We love you all. Go Penn State." No outrage. No shame. Her concern is for the game on Saturday. What is wrong with these people???
  15. Has anyone mentioned putting something on his head? (A lot of heat is lost through the top of your head.) On really cold nights, I wear a hoodie and cover my head. (I can wear socks, fleece PJ's, and use a down comforter, BUT when my head pokes out I'm still cold.) I tried a hat, but it kept coming off in the night. Didn't they wear nightcaps many years ago???
  16. Yes. I made that $100 mistake 3 years ago.
  17. A fanny pack is what I use most of the time. It's as ugly as sin, and some of my friends laugh at me, but it's the most practical.
  18. Her owner came and picked her up today. :hurray: Owner says she is an 8 month old blue heeler.
  19. She came running into our yard this morning. I MAY have located her owner. :D I sure hope so. I found a lost and found ad online and the lady said it is her dog. She thanked me for getting ahold of her, but didn't say anything about coming to get her??? I sure hope she comes to get her.
  20. We felt it too in SW Missouri. I was going down the hall and heard DD's bedroom door shaking. I could see her asleep on the couch and thought someone was in her room. :scared: I could hear sort of a rumbling too.
  21. Cascade or Finish mixed with 1 1/2 Taplespoons of TSP from Lowes.
  22. Oh I forgot- when we wash Lisa in the washer we throw in a straw so she can breathe.
