  1. I have not read all the replies yet, but this was my immediate reaction. How on earth and why would children be allowed to use such weapons when they can't even drive, etc. yet? It boggles my mind.
  2. Will later be doing Joyce Vedral's Cougar ( ) Workout.
  3. We live in the tropics, so we're dealing with summer year-round. When I'm home, as much as I can, I slather Vaseline on my heels and wear socks. Going barefoot or even sandals/Birkenstocks in my case, will not help. The Vaseline and socks method works for me. I also try to get a pedicure every 6-8 weeks. The Vaseline can be replaced with pretty much any cream, I'm sure. I just use that because most other things are very expensive here. The socks are what are essential.
  4. Correcting myself - although baking soda has never caused my skin to react, it certainly is not for all.
  5. 4 Miles of Leslie. Hope that she's better. :grouphug:
  6. Eliana, love all of your pictures. Your granddaughter is adorable.
  7. In the past few weeks, I've read: The Goldfinch - 3 Stars - Very good for the first two-thirds or so, then in it got frustratingly long. I felt as if she was possibly being paid per word like Dickens was. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this book. I’m not really sure whether I enjoyed it or not, which is quite unusual for me. I'm not even sure if I can recommend it to others or not. Hush - 4 Stars - An exciting and easy read – a basic serial killer police thriller. The author Anne Frasier/Theresa Weir is one that I often enjoy. The Long Walk Home - 2 Stars - Nice to read about Wales where I grew up. Other than that, nothing incredible –predictable and easy read. A bit similar to "Bridges of Madison County", although I really hated the latter and prefer this one. :D MY RATING SYSTEM 5 Stars Fantastic, couldn't put it down 4 Stars Really Good 3 Stars Enjoyable 2 Stars Just Okay – nothing to write home about 1 Star Rubbish – waste of my money and time. Few books make it to this level, since I usually give up on them if they’re that bad.
  8. Many charities and organizations are not fully doing what they claim. In 2013, the President and CEO of the ALS Association earned $339,475.00.
  9. About to soon do Leslie's 3 Fast Miles.
  10. Yes, baking soda is a great exfoliant, but not for skins that are super-sensitive. I often do homemade masks - yogurt, all sorts of things :D. A few days ago, I did one with softened butter and egg yolk, Skin was super-soft after that. Liz, I use Rx-strength Retin-A every few nights - not Paula's Choice, Rx from the pharmacy. If you want to know more specifics on why/benefits, I can share here. When it comes to Paula's Choice, on other nights, I use her BHA Gel (1 or 2%). I love Paula's Choice moisturizers for day time.
  11. So true. I think it's really sad when women underestimate all their hard work and effort.
  12. New thread. Please post your workouts here. Everyone welcome. :)
