    I'd go to Maui, and search vrbo.com for condos and owner-rented properties. I LOVE Maui, particularly the Ka'anapali side. (Notsomuch Kihei.) If I was going back to Oahu, I second the recommendation for Kailua rather than Waikiki. :) We're from AK, so prices don't seem that high to me, but it's all relative. Good luck with your decision and vacation planning!

    We have a Rockwood. Best features/what I couldn't live without: toilet, and heat! (I live in AK) :)

    Ours is a pear-ish green. With apple red curtains. It's bright, cheery and inviting. :)

    YES! AK is amazingly homeschool-friendly! You can receive funding from various school districts throughout the state, with very little oversight. They are unobtrusive, created for and by homeschoolers. It's basically like getting paid to teach your kids! :D
