I've never used it. There's never been anyone here whose opinion I wished to ignore completely, regardless of how I felt about it.

There's still the option to read the posts. It's nice to be able to decide if I'm in the mood for pot stirring.

I now have 5 people whose posts I ignore. I don't usually participate in discussions on the chat forum, these are just people that annoy me to no end with the things they post, not someone I don't get along with. This last one was a long time coming. So glad I finally got around to silencing her/him.
