It's not the money part I am worried about because I know that they have bills to pay too, but the materials I donated they asked for, they said they were looking for craft supplies and the like for the children's programs but I haven't seen or heard of any of the children's programs that they are supposed to be doing. If they used the materials for bulletin boards and other library things then they should be honest enough to say so, not tell people they need the materials for children's programs that don't exist.

I understand that, my dd is only 16 months old but there isn't much anything for kids to do around here, like the highlight is going to Wal-mart or McDonald's. The library here doesn't have much either no story time or anything like that during the school year

I have talked to the head librarian about new homeschooling books and she said that they were not going to get anymore because when they do some one checks them all out and doesn't return them. There is no story time for the little ones except in the summer and then it's all kinds of crazy because people just dump their kids off for the day and expects everyone else to watch them. I have made monetary and material donations to the library and yet I don't see anything that has been done with any of it. It just makes me sad to see the sorry state of our library, it is a fairly new building but it seems the only thing that gets upgraded a lot is the computers. Not many new books and the most of the new books they get are in Spanish.

I was looking for a group too for Fitzgerald and called a bunch of groups with in a 2 hour drive radius and they said that they are no longer together. Oh Vidalia is a hour and a half north east of me. The closest I found was 2 that are in Valdosta, which would be a 2 and a half hour drive from Vidalia.

Why do the local libraries have to be so bad? They hardly ever have the books I'm looking for, so I have to use interlibrary loan if any of other PINE libraries have what I am looking for. If they do have them it takes forever for them to get here when they become available. I have had the new Well Trained Mind on hold for 2 months now and not a single copy is available in the state, I want to look at it before I decide if I want to buy it. :(

We have a living room and den, the living room we have turned into Cali's playroom and when she is old enough her homeschool room. We rent but plan on staying in this place until we are able to move back to Michigan.

Well dd isn't old enough for much yet but we plan on homeschooling because of the poor ratings of the school district and the unwillingness of the district to allow a charter to open. We also want to go as fast or as slow as she needs

well actually she was the only one that wasn't fussing so I would say yes, she more into dancing along with the music and looking around then anything.

Cali did ok with the pageant, didn't win anything, it was supposed to be a fun casual pageant but pretty much everyone had custom made outfits for their children, except us. We don't know people who can do that kind of stuff nor really have the money to spend on it. Oh well hopefully we will have better luck with the Relay For Life pageant next month

I helped to take care of my great grandma, she didn't live with dh and I but we lived across the parking lot, I was in college also so when I was gone, dh took care of her. She could go to the bathroom and dress her self but she wasn't able to cook or clean her home so that is what dh and I did.

When my parents got married in 1980 my great grandmother wore black, some people were against it (she wore it because she didn't like my dad) but my mom didn't care, my parents were married for 25 years and 1 day when my dad died of a massive heart attack.

There is no way I am going to be doing all of that, those poor girls are miserable. Talking about how the children were going to be in pageants before they were even born, I just don't understand their thinking, we are doing this for fun and something to do but if dd don't like it then we will find something else to do. Beside some of those parents go way out of line if their child doesn't win, don't think I could deal with the drama of other parents. I hear of families going into debt for these pageants, thinking I guess, that these pageants are going to pay big someday. If we decide to go more into the pageants there is no way I am going to pay more than $50.00 for the entrance fee and no more than 50.00 for dress and shoes.
