Phone Scam.
At least they were upfront about it, so I didn't waste time talking to them.

Yesterday I got dd6's worksheets together for the month of January and decluttered her outgrown clothes. Today I cleaned out the refrigerator.

Lovely. She did a wonderful job! I'm showing them to my crafty dd.

No matter what site or source you use, make sure to get it notarized.

My secret ingredient is crushed tortilla chips. You just have to remember to use less salt. I got the idea from Alton Brown.

I don't do Black Friady period. Packed parking lots and crowded stores are not my idea of a good time.
True story: My nephew turned Black Friday into a money making opporturnity. Several years ago, he camped out beside a Best Buy and was second or third in line. Ten minutes before the store opened he announced that he would sell his place in line to the highest bidder. He went home with a hundred dollar bill.

DH is pretty good about helping with the dc and feeding them, taking them out to play. He might even figure out how to load the dishwasher so half of the dishes get sort of clean (he always blocks the water flow by putting dishes and pans in the wrong places).
Beyond that, everything waits until I am back on my feet. I refuse to be sick mainly because it is so much work to get the house cleaned up again. :glare:
This is my husband. The excuse for not cleaning is "We didn't want to disturb you by making cleaning noises."
All of the routines completely disappear if I am not able to enforce them. My oldest does her own laundry. The last time I was sick, she ran out of socks because I didn't remind her it was her laundry day. She couldn't see how running out of clean clothes was her own fault.:001_huh:

I voted other. My dh knows what we are doing and what we are using. He will help out with something specific if asked when he is home. He will listened to dd read yesterday. He also plans our trips. We tried having him teach the Bible lesson, but he kept going over their heads. I had to ask him to stop when he pulled out his Systematic Theology text.

The only thing that has ever really helped is to keep my mouth shut. Avoid whispering too. I know that's not much help.

Would this work?
It has the right name.
ETA: There's a version for kids too. http://www.amazon.com/You-Gotta-Kidding-Card-Game/dp/0966257596/ref=pd_bxgy_t_text_b

My dd got an archeology kit (not one that you have listed) for a birthday present a couple of years ago. I made her take it outside, and I'm glad I did because it made a mess. The kids enjoyed it. It kept them busy for a couple of hours, but once it was done, it was done. The kit wasn't reusable. We kept the little plastic skeleton and pots. They are now buried in an undisclosed location in the yard. Maybe someday they'll excavate the right spot.

I haven't looked at the rest of the site, but here is one list.

:001_smile: So glad you are both home.

Thanks. I actually had a little series going on Facebook a few months ago. I doubt it would do me any good to go on tour since my audience doesn't listen to me.

I sometimes hear my mom's voice coming out of my mouth: "Look with your eyes and not with your mouth."
I'm going to try that line, but I don't hold out much hope.:glare:

Do you have any experience with these? I wasn't sure enough to order one.

I recommend Timez Attack and xtramath to my adult students. Some students do well with basic copy work and filling out grid problems.

There is no backlight on a regular Kindle.

I'm jealous. I just got the 3G Kindle this past March, so I can't justfy the Fire.

The Art of Observation--Why standing in the center of a room, rotating your body 360 degrees, and shouting at the top of your voice "I can't find it!" is not enough.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. I have shoes to find.

:grouphug: Glad to hear some good news.

It wouldn't be so bad if my mom didn't gloat that she got it right when I got it wrong. I got 14. She got 0. I majored in math and chemistry. Sigh.

We use stencils and a pumpkin carving kit. Using the poker and the saw makes life much easier. Ds 7 was able to do carve his mostly on his own. I have pictures of our lastest pumpkins on my blog.

I bought the same deal last week. So far the kids love it. Very little prep is needed. They just need paper and pencil.
I'm going to try Ambleside's composer schedule to sneak in some music appreciation.
