  1. Any opinions on these (anyone even read them)? What else would be good to use for Ancient Greek history and Ancient Roman history? I prefer around 5th or 6th grade level (at least to start with). Thanks, Luanne
  2. But now I can't seem to locate where I can buy it from. Can anyone help me out here? WAH! :(
  3. Has anyone read or used this book? Any recommendations for or against it?
  4. But not in too much depth because my daughter said it gets pretty bad if you go in depth.
  5. I really don't have a large enough wall space to put this.
  6. and I'm not sure what to do about it. She actually has been quite depressed at times, but only off and on. We do not have insurance so I cannot take her to a doctor for this. It is starting to get on my nerves actually and it makes me not want to stay home on my days off (like today). *sigh*
  7. I was wondering if this would help me sort out history. I am having a bit of difficulty following world history. What can I do to help me sort it out?
  8. Thank you for this link to check my reading level. I had asked about this earlier in a post and no one seemed to know of any links. Thanks again. Luanne
  9. Thank you for this reference. I appreciate it. Now to just wait for my tax return. Did I mention that I don't like waiting? LOL
  10. My 19 year old daughter says EVERYONE should know who "John, Paul, George, and Ringo" are. LOL
  11. I see these recommended just about everywhere I look. What are their purpose and are they worth reading?
  12. the 1000 good books. I always forget about that one.
  13. What do you use to teach outlining? Or what would you use to teach yourself and your 19 year old daughter outlining?
  14. And is it best to learn by itself in a book or is there a grammar/language arts program that teaches it better?
  15. Now I won't have to ask this question myself in a few weeks from now. LOL
  16. from when she was in school. I would also like recommendations for my daughter (age 19) who is a litte ahead of me in grammar.
  17. website as well as the Memoria Press website... what can I be doing while I am waiting for the revised book to come out? I feel like I should be doing something. I hate waiting.
  18. and my daughter. As you have all probably noticed, I have been posting a lot lately. I truly thank you all for your responses. They have been very helpful and have given me the motivation to continue the process of educating myself (since I received a very poor education many years ago). A piece of information that might be helpful to you ... I'm not sure ... is that even though my daugther reads on an adult level, I do not. My best guess would be that I read on about a 5th or 6th grade level. This is something I have been working on improving. So, don't feel bad if you recommend lower level reading books to me. As a matter of fact, I would appreciate it. LOL :D
