  1. is very cool! I read it along with my daughter and found it very interesting and informative.
  2. I wish my daughter could figure out what she wants to do.
  3. I have what started as a sinus infection in mid-November and then it escalated to an upper respiratory infection in mid-December. I am on my third round of antibiotics and have missed the equivalent of about two weeks of work. I am still very congested and start coughing as soon as I lay down. It is getting very annoying.
  4. We own the first two. As soon as I get some more back child support, I'm going to buy the third one. All this talk about it is making me want to see it.
  5. another cashier offered me a piece of her chicken in the break room. I hadn't had any meat in over a week. I think I thanked her four times. LOL
  6. Most years we get some snow. Last year was an exception where it snowed all winter long and a couple of the snows were three feet at a time. It didn't melt until late March/early April. We've currently been going through a cold spell where it has gotten below zero many times. We used to have days in the summer above 100 degrees, but haven't for several summers. I think last year the warmest it got was 90. I would have to say parts of the town are liberal (mostly the college area), but a lot of the town is conservative. They already told you about the homeschool laws here. I am not homeschooling now, but did for 7 years. I don't know of any programs offered by Poudre School District (the school district here), but I never checked into it either. The best place to buy a house is either in the southern part of town or the eastern part of town. The north and the west is older and although it isn't bad by any means, it doesn't seem to be as nice. I would definitely say the south and east would be gaining value (in other words). If you think of anything else you want to ask, ask away. I'd be more than happy to at least try to answer your questions. Luanne
  7. I would have just called the police. You have to protect yourself and your children.
  8. I'd do it more often, but just don't have time since I work full-time.
  9. I don't go anywhere unless it is absolutely necessary (like work or the library).
  10. I prefer them to be somewhere between 4th and 7th grade level reading. Thanks, Luanne
  11. It looks like it is just 11 for me. WOW! Yippee! Hee hee hee
  12. we might have to give up eating entirely. I guess we can't do that, can we? Oh bother!
  13. I am constantly dreaming I am going to school and usually I am much younger (like 10 or 12) and can't find where I am supposed to go or their is a uniform I am supposed to wear and I can't find it or it doesn't fit or something. I guess my dreams are just about nothing going right it seems. Sometimes life feels that way too, now that I think about it. SHEESH!
  14. It seems to be down right now. I guess I will have to try again tomorrow. :(
  15. That's cool that you live in Colorado too. Where about in Colorado are you? I'm in northern Colorado.
  16. I figure my reading level is about 5th or 6th grade. I have had very little science and my only world history has been reading (and taking notes) my way through Kingfisher History Encyclopedia. I'd like to have a plan, but keep finding myself going all over the place. I do better with structure. The only subject I am probably past 6th grade level in is math. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this together? Also, money is definitely a issue. Thanks, Luanne
  17. Are some of the books easier to read? I probably am not completely up to an adult reading level. I'm a bit confused, in case you can't tell.
  18. Does anyone have dreams about their parents in which your parents are either uncooperative or even just plain mean? ... or is it just me?
  19. I'm on such a limited budget that I have taken to not buying any meat at all. I do eat cheese, beans, and drink milk. It is starting to get kind of frustrating though. I just wondered if I am alone in this. :(
  20. I know some of you said in your posts about what your children are reading, but what about the rest of you? I am currently reading "Daisy Miller" by Henry James. I am also reading "So Far From Home" which is a Dear America book.
