dirty ethel rackham
A few weeks ago, I lamented that I had put the wrong date in the common app for when dd attended high school (a year earlier than was accurate. ) In the process of reviewing what I put, I found out that somehow, the common app did not accept my submission of dd's counselor letter. I know that I submitted it the weekend before the apps were due. But, the box wasn't checked for counselor letter when I went back in. I went ahead and submitted it. Now I need to re-email all the schools dd applied to to tell them of the mix up. I am so frustrated with myself.

DawnM
Don't feel bad. I have screwed up a few things too. Yesterday the counselor called my son in to tell him he needed to change a few things on his common app.....nothing like the 11th hour! They changed his counselor last month and he didn't know. I had been in contact with his former counselor for months.....no one told us. It is due tomorrow. I don't know if she will get the letter done in time or not. We requested it 10 days ago and it is just now being switched to another counselor......GRRRRR!!!!! After all that, he is only applying to ONE school through the common app. Now, he may add more later, but it would have been easier to just apply directly had we known. Grantmom
I'm sorry. I am feeling similarly worried. First child! If only I could have had a practice run with this! :grouphug: Edited November 18, 2017 by Grantmom
J-rap
I'm sure mistakes happen all the time, and they're used to that. They just give strict guidelines to try and eliminate them. (But will definitely still work with you!) Just this morning I bought my daughter travel insurance for her upcoming several-month trip abroad, and realized immediately afterward that I put in my other daughter's birth year.
